Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a final wildlife safari among grasslands, wetlands and forest habitats.

Search for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas and other wildlife. The crater also provides an opportunity to look for endangered black rhino, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

After the crater game drive, travel back to Arusha where your eight-day journey concludes.

Can you guarantee seeing the Great Migration?

No. The herds move naturally in response to rainfall and grazing conditions. We plan the Serengeti portion according to expected seasonal patterns, but exact locations and wildlife activity cannot be guaranteed.

Will we definitely see a river crossing?

No. River crossings are unpredictable natural events. Even during the appropriate season, herds may wait for hours or days before crossing, or move through another area.

Which part of Serengeti will we visit?

The preferred Serengeti region depends on your travel dates. Southern, central, western and northern Serengeti can become important at different stages of the migration cycle.

What does the Maasai cultural experience involve?

The experience is arranged with local hosts and focuses on respectful cultural exchange, including opportunities to learn about Maasai traditions, livestock, family and community life.

Can I add a Serengeti balloon safari?

Yes, subject to availability and the Serengeti region used in your final itinerary. Balloon safaris are optional and priced separately.

Can this safari finish with Zanzibar?

Yes. Zanzibar is a natural extension after this itinerary and can be added as a relaxing beach holiday following the safari.
